Clumber Park styled shoot
Last year I was lucky enough to be asked to work for the wonderful Honeysuckle and Castle at their Clumber Park venue. Clumber Park is a stunning backdrop for wedding celebrations. It holds licenses for two stunning sites and there are a further two sites for marquees to enable you to dance the night away. The sites are set in 3,800 acres of tranquil and picturesque grounds of Sherwood Forest and I am thrilled to be able to share with you the Clumber Park styled shoot.
Summer photo shoot
I had the pleasure of working with some amazing people on a photo shoot to promote Clumber Park so how did it come about?
When I first launched Rebecca Wilkie Weddings and Events I spent a lot of time meeting new suppliers and visiting venues I hadn’t yet had the pleasure to work with. Off I went around Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire meeting up with amazing florists and photographers, looking at venues and tasting cakes meeting wonderful people and making new friends.
I first met with the gorgeous Helen at a Costa Coffee back in March 2016. Helen and I hit it off straight away and she invited me to the Pop Up Wedding Village. One of the best wedding fairs I have been too! In June, Honeysuckle and Castle signed the contract for yet another stunning National Trust site, Clumber Park and Helen asked me to join the Honeysuckle and Castle team and we had a great year.
There were two parts to the shoot, the first was to show case the venue itself. The Old Parsonage is an amazing building comprising of the Georgiana Room where the ceremony takes place and Hawkins Study for the wedding breakfast. Both are stunning rooms and with the team I put together we were able to really do them justice. The second part of the shoot was my favourite. Couples who get married in the gorgeous Glasshouse are able to have drinks and canapes in the Rose Garden. It is a large walled garden that is always full of beautiful blooms. Whenever I walk into the garden it makes me think secret garden so this became the theme.
Cherry Blossom Cakes – Charlotte is based in Bawtry, South Yorkshire and has the most amazing shop. Her window is always stunning and the first time I met with her I got to sample the most amazing cake. Charlotte is full of ideas and is one of the best at what she does.
Splendid Signs – I had been following Kate on Instagram for ages without realising she was Charlotte’ sister. Kate is always willing to help and has lots of ideas and suggestions. She did my Rebecca Wilkie Weddings signs and the gorgeous signs for our new bar. Gin anyone?!
Avant Garden – I was introduced to Laura and Scott by Helen and have worked with Laura a couple of times now. She always goes all out in everything she does and I even learnt how to make a Christmas wreath in her workshop! I loved working with her and talking through the vision. Bird cages, candelabras, floral crowns and amazing deep reds.
Alison Jenner – Helen and I have both been aware of Alison’s work for ages. I follow all of her social media, I covert her bags and shoes and think she is amazing but I built her into some kind of gold like status in my head. She is wonderful and terribly talented.
Hayleigh Louise – Hayleigh and I live, or lived in the same village and bonded over wine. I would highly recommend Hayleigh. She is a perfectionist and is so good at what she does.
Elizabeth Malcolm – I also met Lizzie through Helen. I totally love Lizzie and she makes working fun. Her dresses are just perfect.
When they had all finished our models, Tyla and Ruth, looked even more stunning than they naturally are.
Becky Lord – Where so I start?! I am totally in love with Becky and everything she does. You just need to check out her Instagram to see why. She matched the stationary to the wallpaper perfectly and it really finished the look.
Leigh Mcara – I didn’t meet Leigh until the week before the shoot but straight away I fell in love with his work and loved his vision. His photos really stand out in the wedding crowd and would love the opportunity to work with him again. You can see the full shoot on his website here as well as a little behind the scenes video.
I can’t wait for this years Clumber Weddings, the first of which is in July and hopefully there will be another Clumber Park styled shoot where I can showcase more of the venue!
